Sit less and move more every day to improve your heart health. Find out how much physical activity you need to do each week, and what counts.

Physical activity includes any type of movement you do. From walking to cleaning the house or gardening – the more you move the better.

This week we look into physical activity and what it does for the heart.  Breaking up times of sitting down with any type of movement can be counted as being active – the less we sit and the more we move is helpful for the heart.  It is recommended that we move for at least 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity.

To get into more detail about what physical activity can look like and how this can be beneficial for your heart – see here.
